Developed an I/O extension board and the program to control the flow-rate and mixing-ratio of multiple Waters 510 pumps. The user could control how many pumps were in the system; simply control the flow rate of the pump(s); edit a flow rate table to have a time based flow rate and mixing rate, visually check the flow rate table.

After observed the signal passed from 510's right part to the left by an Oscilloscope, the shape (square) and the frequency for certain flow rate became very clear.
By using 8253 counter/timer chip, a PC extension board (ISA bus) was developed and tested.
Then, a friendly program was developed on windows, in which users could:
- Control how many pumps were in the system
- Simply control the flow rate of the pump(s)
- Edit a flow rate table to have a time based flow rate and mixing rate
- Visually check the flow rate table
